It is important to ensure that all the
ingredients
in the Gerty Guinea Pig are eaten so that the correct quantity and balance of nutrients are absorbed. if some ingredients are left- reduce the daily quantity of food until everything is eaten.
Always introduce a new diet gradually to minimize the likelihood of digestive upsets. Mix Gerty Guinea Pig food in the same feeding dish with your guinea pigs current food, slowly increasing the quantity of Gerty Guinea Pig food whilst reducing the other food over a 10 day period.
To assist in dental wear always provide additional roughage such as hay, and a gnawing toy.
Fresh, clean water should always be available.
