    Cat Flea Repellent Shampoo 200ml

This mild and non-irritant shampoo contains natural citrus extracts to repel fleas and help guard against flea infestation. The lemon-scented treatment is suitable for all cats and helps beautify the coat.

    Your Cat and Fleas

If you own a cat, you will at some point need to deal with fleas; even the best kept cat is likely to catch fleas at some point. It is better to treat your cat with flea prevention products that stop fleas from laying eggs, rather than end up trying to deal with possibly hundreds of larvae around the house. Fleas thrive in warm conditions and it used to be the case that fleas would be most prominent in the summer times, but as homes are often kept warm and toasty, fleas can be constant all year round.

The 3 stages of flea control

    1. Your Cat

You can treat your cat with a range of flea drops, flea shampoos, aerosols, pump sprays and powders.

    2. Your Home

It is important to remember that if your cat has fleas you must treat any other cats and dogs in the house as well. You must also treat your cats bed and the cat basket, as this is where most of the flea eggs will be. Pay particular attention to dark crevices, such as skirting boards, behind radiators and floor boards as eggs accumulate in cracks. Use household flea sprays and carpet flea powders to help reduce the risk of re-infestation.

    3. Future prevention

Flea collars, used with a flea and grooming comb can protect your cat from adult fleas for up to 5 months. Use flea treatments that kill fleas fast before they have a chance to lay eggs. Carpets and soft furnishings should be treated periodically with a suitable household treatment and vacuumed regularly paying special attention to grooves, cracks and baseboards. Your cats bedding should be washed regularly.
